This pie is great for using any leftover chicken. I make the most of it by saving up and freezing whole cooked chicken leftovers and collecting them until I have enough for the recipe
I use any type of cheese that I have available and if you don’t have fresh garlic you can definitely use a teaspoon of jar garlic.
The green beans in the recipe are as a side dish. If you have kids this may not be the best way to serve them. I usually lightly cook them and add them to the pie for greenery. If you don’t want green beans you can add in any other vegetable. I often add any extra veges I have available, including silverbeet and cavalo nero. Frozen vegetables are perfect in this pie
